The municipal council of the village of Pierrefitte-sur-Aire in France, gathered around the mayor, wanted to commission an artwork to reaffirm its commitment to its environment and in particular to the forest. Vent des Forêts, accredited mediator of the New Patrons for the Grand Est region in France since 2018, has supported the patrons in their efforts by proposing to entrust this commission to the artist Noel Varoqui. La Révérence (The Reverence) takes the form of a large mural painting and a landscaped garden.
