Inauguration of the Biodiversity Tower by Angelo Vermeulen
A compost park in Willebroek-South appears to be an important meeting point. Reason for a group of compost makers to commission an artwork from an ecological, biological and sociological perspective that links 'composting' and 'social meetings'.
Angelo Vermeulen, an artist and biologist, shared their ideas and assembled recycling, composting, biodiversity, water reusing and renewable energy in a so-called biodiversity tower. The tower is their new meeting point and soon became a landmark in their multicultural neighbourhood.
After six years of constructing, they proudly announce the opening of the biodiversity tower for September 27, 2015 at 15:00.
